1. Equipment introduction
1.1 Overview
A shunt motor is a motor in which the field winding and the rotor winding are connected in parallel, and the field current is related to the voltage of the rotor winding and the resistance of the field circuit.
Shunt motors fall under the classification of DC self-excited motors. The field winding is connected in parallel with the armature winding. That is, armature current and field current have different branch currents. The voltage at both ends of the shunt winding is the voltage at both ends of the rotor winding, and its value is relatively high, but the excitation winding is wound with thin wire, and its turns are many, so it has a large resistance, so that the excitation current passing through it is small.
