CE 583A Adsorption Teaching Equipment Hydrodynamics Experiment Apparatus
1. Equipment Introduction
1.1 Overview
CE 583A adsorption mainly verifies the removal of dissolved substances by adsorption, including the following: (1) Turn on the circulation pump and use the circulation pump to transport water from the treated water tank to a loop with two adsorbers filled with activated carbon; (2) Turn on the metering pump (or turn on the circulation pump at the same time), and use the metering pump to add the concentrated adsorbate solution to the water flow to mix it; (3) The mixed raw water enters the adsorber and flows through the activated carbon fixed bed, and the adsorbate is adsorbed on the activated carbon; (4) The treated water then flows through the safety adsorber and returns to the treated water tank. (5) In order to remove the residual adsorbate still in the water, turn on the circulation pump again (if it is turned on in the first step, it does not need to be turned on again), return the treated water to the feed line of the first adsorber, and add the concentrated adsorption solution again, and circulate it back and forth; (6) The water treated by the adsorber can be collected in a beaker for observation; (7) The adsorption efficiency can be observed by adjusting parameters such as temperature, contact time between the adsorbent and water, and concentration of the adsorbent.
