HM 150.29A Energy Losses in Piping Elements Didactic Equipment Hydrodynamics Laboratory equipment
I.Product Overview
1.1 Overview
When water flows through a pipe system, the flow resistance causes pressure losses at pipes, valves and fittings. The HM 150.29A unit can be used to investigate and visualize the pressure losses in pipe elements. The experimental unit can be used to evaluate how different pipe geometries influence the flow. The HM 150.29A experimental unit consists of a pipe section containing several pipe segments with different flow resistances, as well as a constriction and expansion element. A ball valve is also integrated in the pipe. Pressure measuring points with annular chambers upstream and downstream of the pipe element ensure precise pressure measurement. The pressure measuring points can be connected in pairs to a 6-tube manometer to determine the pressure losses in the pipe element. The experimental unit can be easily and safely placed on the working surface of the HM 150A base module. Water is supplied and the flow rate is measured via the HM 150. Alternatively, the experimental unit can be operated by a laboratory power supply.
