- How a refrigeration/heat pump system works
- Operation of a refrigeration/heat pump system
- Learning the appropriate method for charging and discharging a refrigeration system
- Checking for refrigerant leaks in the air conditioning system
- Reading, understanding, wiring, and testing the electrical circuits of the air conditioning system Troubleshooting at least the following faults:
- Display board fault.
- Room temperature sensor fault.
- Compressor relay fault
- Condenser fan relay fault
- Condenser fan fault.
- Reversing valve relay fault
- Reversing valve fault.
- Evaporator fan motor fault
It must be equipped with control, shut-off, and electrical safety devices such as an emergency stop button.
It must include at least:
- A reversible split system air conditioner with a cooling capacity of 9000 or 12000 BTU
- Freon charge connections
- Freon charge connections
- Condensate pump module
- Level switch module
- Overload switch module
- Remote control.
