SSR20240307A02 Open Channel and Closed Channel Flow Vocational Training Equipment Fluid Mechanics Experiment Equipment
1. Equipment Introduction
1.1 Overview
Open channel and closed channel flow are used to demonstrate different flow processes under different control structures in open channels. The equipment includes: (1) Transparent experimental flume with upper limit; (2) Height-adjustable threshold; (3) Adjustable plate weir (4) Closed water circulation system. For experiments, weirs are connected to the bottom of the channel or height-adjustable thresholds are used. In addition, discharge under the gate can be demonstrated. Various weirs can be quickly and safely replaced and can be used as control structures. The adjustable plate weir only needs to be modified to make the experimental flume as an open or closed channel. When studying closed channels, the water level needs to be high enough so that the entire experimental section flows through. In this case, the threshold is used to change the cross-section of the flow. The static pressure and total pressure on the cross-section are detected by measuring tubes, and the pressure difference is used to calculate the flow rate.
